This was the perfect solution for our door. It was super easy to install. Only took about 20 minutes. We were looking at replacing the whole door when I came across the ODL Add On which was less than half the cost of a new door and worked perfectly. I would highly recommend this product.
So easy to install, took me less than 20 minutes per door and they look great! One set closes tighter than the other but they serve the purpose and the price was right!

The back patio door had blinds screwed to it that attached at the bottom. The door handle was in the way of the blinds so the previous owner flipped the handle 180 degrees - not a good solution. The Zabitat blinds look much nicer. The blinds were not inexpensive but they are worth the money. It was a little snug against the deadbolt but there was enough play left to right that I pushed it 1/8 inch to the right and it fit great (there is a "spacer" you can remove if the blinds hang too far over the deadbolt or the ring at the base of the door handle and that would have left plenty of room but the blinds look better with the spacer in). Because of the thickness (1 and 1/2 inches deep), the new blinds were also in the way of the door handle, so I bought a handle with a slightly different style (more room between handle and door) and it was fine. I wondered how the knobs to adjust the blinds on either side of the door and the clips that hold it in place would look (cheap? gaudy?), but you don't even notice them. Functionally the unit works great. The only glitch was the snaps on the bottom that lock into place. The instructions said put the spacers at 11 and 1/2 inches. Is that 11 and 1/2 from the top of the spacer, from the bottom or centered? So I had to adjust one spacer. Then the lock had bent slightly and would not find the hole to go into. I slid a screwdriver behind the unit to guide the lock and it worked. So a 15 minute installation took 25 minutes. I spent some time cleaning the glass on the inside (and the inside glass on the door!) and removing little pieces of styrofoam and some plastic debris along the edges because once you lock the blinds in, if there's anything inside sticking to the glass, you have to remove the whole thing to clean it. Make sure it's clean before installing. Pretty easy to install, very happy with it!

These are exactly what I was searching for. The blinds are protected work great. The installation instructions were spot on and very easy to follow. What took the most time was cleaning my door and window before putting the new insert over them. The packaging is very solid and secure ensuring that neither the blinds nor the glass is damaged in transit. The only reason I didn't give it 4-Stars is, as other reviews have stated, the blinds when closed don't touch each other, which does not give complete privacy as traditional blinds do.
The blinds arrived quickly and with no damage. (The boxes are large and well packed). I read the instructions and installed them on our french doors. Installation was a breeze. We love the look and how they work. I highly recommend them.

Unit shipped on time and arrived on time. Based on the shape of the box, it was handled harshly during shipment. This may be the reason the slat adjustment was not working. The pulley and shaft at the top of the window had pulled apart and did not allow the slats to be adjusted. Finally was able to engage the shaft/pulley and all has been working well. The fit and finish make a much more polished look for the door. All in all, a good experience.
I ordered a 24x38 half door blind which was not standard size. I installed it today and it looks great I wish I had known this years ago as a solution for the south facing door for privacy. Great product easy install thank you
You can tell this item was previously used by someone else. The frame is also bent a fit so it doesnt lay flush and now I get condensation
The package came on time and intact, but unfortunately because my mistake, I requested the wrong part being and Add-On instead an Enclosed part. So I am trying to return your item and have the right one, paying the difference, of course. I already sent an email asking for steps I have to make this happen. Waiting for your response. Thanks
Instructions should further clarify window actual size on the box label. Also, further clarification of placement of lower fastener clip. Placement of the clip above or below measurement line.
